Biography

Adam Fields is the owner and lead illustrator of Midnight27 Studios and the creator of the hit comic book series, PROWL. Located in Austintown, Ohio, he has always had a passion for art and storytelling. All throughout school, he focused on improving his illustration skills and pushing himself to continually improve to create the most dynamic art that he could.

In 2005, he graduated from the trade school, Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) with a focus in graphic design. He then graduated in 2007 from the School of Advertising Art (SAA) where the focus was on design, illustration, and professional branding. Since then, Adam has taken various art courses at multiple art centers to keep current on the latest design trends.

Adam’s professional portfolio is very diverse with projects that range from novel and comic book covers, event posters, sequential art pages, trading cards, and character concepts. He has done cover work for author Erica Elaine on her titles SQUID FILES, WARPED ONES and SAPPHIRE CURSE. Alongside of these covers, he’s created various character concept designs for majority of the main characters from these titles. More of his artwork has graced the covers of the satire comic book DO YOU POOH. He’s also done cover art for other titles such as DEPARTMENT OF TRUTH, BEYOND THE BREACH, WE LIVE, THE LISTENER, BRUNO SAMMARTINO and KERRA PRIME.

Recently he has illustrated many different comic book titles from a collection of different publishers. POINT OF AUTHORITY: FAMILY TIES, ROADKILL RAMPAGE, LEAVE ON THE LIGHT, BLACKJAQ and INDIE WARS by Antarctic Press, SCREENBOY by Echelon Graphic Novels, SCALES and INK by Seer Nova Comics. Other titles that he has illustrated and helped publish are BLUE COAT MISSIONARY.

Other projects Adam has had the opportunity to sign his name to have been officially licensed Marvel trading cards, even posters for various comic & toy shows, exclusive retail comic book covers and a few of his own self-published works.

“It’s been an honor to work with such amazing people. Take a few random and crazy ideas and start piecing them together until we have something enjoyable, relatable and impactful. And then getting to know the different fans along through these stories and discuss the ideas behind the art. It truly keeps me fueled to keep pushing my creative limits,” Adam stated. However, even though he is proud of his work, he closed with “But my biggest pride and joy comes from the support system at home from my wife and two sons.”
