Dan Gearino

Dan Gearino is the author of Comic Shop: The Retail Mavericks Who Gave Us a New Geek Culture, published in 2017 by Swallow Press/Ohio University Press, a book about the world of comic book stores, from the early days of the direct market to today. He is a business reporter for The Columbus Dispatch, and previously was a newspaper (and occasional radio) reporter, first in New Hampshire, where he covered the 2004 presidential primary, and then in his native Iowa, where he covered the 2008 caucuses.
