A bon vivant and raconteur extraordinaire, David Anthony Kraft had wonderful mentors like Leigh Brackett (she co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back) and Stan Lee (he needs no introduction!). At age 18, he travelled with a carnival, joined the Army and sold his first story – not necessarily in that order – before motorcycling to Marvel, where he wrote Captain America, Incredible Hulk, Spidey, a non-group called The Defenders, and some sexy green chick called Savage She-Hulk. He also had a hand in editing the very first appearances of Wolverine, New X-Men and Rogue along the way. As a rock journalist DAK hung with and put groups such as Blue Oyster Cult and Rush into comics. Kraft has also been a story editor and script writer for TV on Street Fighter and G.I. Joe: Extreme and is well known as the publisher of David Anthony Kraft’s Comics Interview magazine for 150 issues. Today, in addition to a zombie romance story in Tales from the Crypt #1, DAK is editing, co-writing and (yes!) laying out Yi Soon Shin, a stunning new series of comics and a graphic novel available on Amazon that has sold 60,000 copies and that features a foreword by – Stan the Man, himself!
