The Finest: A G.I. Joe Costume Club is the world’s premier international G.I. Joe fan-based costuming club. Founded in 2007, the Finest has expanded to include several hundred members across multiple continents. The Finest celebrates the G.I. Joe universe through the creation and wearing of high-quality costumes and props based upon characters, toys, and stories from the G.I. Joe universe.

Each year, Finest members appear and exhibit at over 100 pop-culture conventions, parades, and other events worldwide. Since 2014, the Finest has raised more than $45,000 for charity causes, with all proceeds donated to military- and veteran-based organizations such as the USO, Wounded Warriors, and, most recently, K9s for Warriors!

The Central Defense garrison of the Finest covers Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois. Central Defense first attended Gem City Comic Con in 2017 and is committed to sharing their love for all things Cobra and G.I. Joe. Members are always willing to help anyone looking to get involved or make their own G.I. Joe costumes!
