Biography
Dave Aikins is a children’s book illustrator and Nickelodeon publishing artist, who over the past 20 years has illustrated nearly 200 books featuring SpongeBob Squarepants, Kamp Koral, Paw Patrol, Blue’s Clues & You, Top Wing, Shimmer & Shine, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Rusty Rivets, Dora & Friends, Dora the Explorer, Team Umizoomi, The Backyardigans, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Dinosaur Train, The Cat in the Hat and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
New for 2020 and 2021 are books for Nickelodeon‘s Blue’s Clues & You, SpongeBob’s new movie SPONGE ON THE RUN and his new show Kamp Koral, John Cena’s Elbow Grease, and Netflix‘s Go Dog Go.
To balance out all of this cuteness, Dave is also the illustrator of Twilight Creations’ popular Zombies!!! board game series which is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary this year! Dave is also a product design artist for The Bradford Exchange and The Hamilton Collection, creating concepts and designs for statues and collectibles featuring numerous pop culture characters including The Nightmare Before Christmas, Mickey Mouse, Marvel, Rudolph, The Simpsons, Batman ‘66, Universal Monsters, and many more. In between working on his book and product design jobs, Dave enjoys doing pop-culture portrait commissions which can be seen is his 50 PORTRAITS art book collections available at conventions and on Amazon.
